Conversation with My Parents…

September 28, 2009

the_worlds_greatest_roommate_sticker-p217367991527328055qjcl_400@higherlearning (speaking to my mom):  “Hey, why don’t you go back to school and get your Masters?  Then we could live together and you can be my housemate!”

@higherlearning’s Dad:  “You mean more like your house slave…”

@higherlearning: “….”

    tammy i dont mean to be… mean. but “grad school” isnt that big of a deal is it? half the people in the world have graduate degrees including you and me (which makes it that much more unimpressive lol)
    so.. why are you making it sound like its elite or super-special??

      Am i? Really? I guess i didn’t think that blogging about conversations with my parents, househunting or doing laundry would come off as being “elite”. My bad.

      I’m also pretty sure that not “half the world” has a graduate degree.

    take it easy, youre not just blogging about “doing laundry” or “househunting”, those are just titles. It’s more just the heir of “i’m a GRAD STUDENT” gradstudent this, gradstudent that. ya feel?

    and yes, half the world does. please continue to take my words literally.. yeesh.

      yo, mike. i am a grad student and the purpose of this blog is just to journal my life while i’m in grad school – so after graduating, i can look back and reminisce about my experiences. It’s called @higherlearning for a reason. ya feel? =)
